Building a Net-Zero Future at Climate Week New York

At Climate Week NYC Trane Technologies brought together customers and environmental partners to take collective action to build a net-zero future.

Our chair and CEO Dave Regnery spoke on the Main Stage of the Concordia Annual Summit, joining Avipsa Mahatra from the Environmental Investigation Agency for a fireside chat on the importance of transparency and credibility for corporate climate action.

In partnership with the Sustainable Markets Initiative, leaders from member companies toured 55 Water Street, a longtime Trane® customer, to show how high-efficiency electric heating and cooling systems, thermal energy storage and building automation are helping decarbonize one of the largest office buildings in New York.

At our Customer Experience Center, we hosted an interactive experience and panel discussion, “Building Net-Zero Heroes,” with sustainability expert and author Ashlee Piper, Ali Mize from Neiman Marcus Group, Kristy Drutman from the Green Jobs Board and Lisa Jacobson of the Business Council for Sustainable Energy. The panelists discussed practical ways to accelerate decarbonization of the built environment, the power of storytelling to effect real change and the importance of diversity and inclusion in climate technology.

During Climate Week the UN Secretary-General convened a Climate Ambition Summit at the United Nations to “accelerate action by governments, business, finance local authorities and civil society, and hear from ‘first movers and doers.’” It was truly an honor for Trane Technologies to be invited. We’re proud to be recognized as a credible climate innovator, transparently disclosing our tangible progress to meet our 2030 Sustainability Commitments.
