A Shared Movement for the Future of Healthy Spaces

We’re sharing what we know about healthy and efficient spaces in order to raise expectations for what they can do for people inside, and the world outside.

It’s safe to say that the indoors have never gotten quite as much attention as they are right now, particularly the environmental quality and safety of enclosed spaces. What once was considered an irrelevant, technical topic, is now gaining traction far beyond industry insiders as we confront this global pandemic.

With this raised public consciousness people are asking: how do I know if indoor spaces are good for me?

The good news is that at Trane Technologies, we've challenged the science and sustainability of indoor environments for some time - and we want to help others see the potential for healthy spaces like we do.

By sharing what we know, we hope to raise expectations for what well-designed and efficient spaces can do for the people inside, and the world outside.

Get Smart on IEQ

Indoor experiences are shaped by everything from air quality and temperature, to lighting and noise. It’s a dynamic ecosystem that the industry needs to consider as a sum of its parts to achieve the best results for occupants and operators alike; a shopper and a store owner, an office worker and a building operator, a student and a school administrator. They all want great experiences and productive outcomes.

In our Understanding Indoor Environmental Quality Primer, we explain the core elements of IEQ and how different types of indoor spaces need different management strategies.

A New Podcast to Raise Awareness and Expectations

In conjunction with our Center for Healthy & Efficient Spaces we’ve invited experts in atmospheric science, building design and energy efficiency to join us on a quest to turn insights into action – and to raise the stakes for what is possible in buildings and spaces that are better for people and the planet.

I am excited to host a new podcast, Healthy Spaces with Trane Technologies, which will do just that: share science and experience-based insights and actions from thought leaders around the world.

It’s a series of conversations with highly-regarded members of our advisory council that explores the world of healthy spaces from the inside out.

I hope you’ll join us in this journey and prepare to see the great indoors in a whole new light.
